What a week!

Hi Everyone,

What a week. Well we had a wonderful Easter but things seemed to go a little down hill from there. Thursday night my brother's house caught on fire and pretty much burned down. They had been trying to sell their house and some people had just put a contract on their house three hours earlier. Luckily everyone was able to get out safely. The roof fell in on the right side of the house where all the children's rooms were. Thank God it did not happen a few hours later when they would have all been in bed asleep. Everyone was over there Friday helping them go through everything and see what would be able to be saved. Then Friday night I started having really strong pains in my stomach. I was very tempted to go to the ER but did not want to have a huge bill to pay. I finally was able to fall asleep at 5:00 that morning but only for about two hours b/c Autumn and Colby were both up and ready for breakfast. Ever since then my stomach has been very sore to the touch. I ended up going to the doctor yesterday and they took blood. They are running like 5 different test and said they will call me by the end of the week. I am sure it is nothing but I had to go in b/c my Grandfather (on my Dad's side) died of stomach cancer in his forties. So better safe than sorry. So I would appreciate it if you could all keep my bother's family and my belly :) in your prayers. Thank you. HUGS!!

Blog #1 - New Baby Cousin for Autumn & Colby

Hi Everyone! Well this is my first blog here on our new family web site. Alot has gone on this week. We have a new member to our family. My brother and his wife just had a new baby boy on St. Patrick's Day! His name is Troy Allen Gilliard. It is kind of a nice story about where his name came from . My brother's best friend from when they were little boys in Florida was Troy Pardue. Troy was also the son of my Mother's best friend. Well this past June he passed away. Bekha and Allen became preganat a month later and they decided if the baby was a boy they would name him after Troy. So that is where his first name comes from. I am so thrilled they had a little boy. Now Colby will have another boy to play with. Colby is surrounded by all girls every day at my Mom's house. There is his sister and then his two girl cousins. Colby really needed another boy. Another great thing is they are only be 7 months apart so that will be neat.

Autumn had her Easter Egg Hunt with her class at the park on Tuesday. It did not feel at all like Spring though. Everyone had to wear coats it was so cold. They all had a great time anyway though. This Saturday our church is having a big Easter Egg Hunt and they will have blow ups for the kids to get in and jump around. Autumn is very excited about that. Then on Sunday we will have another egg hunt at my parent's house after church. Autumn should totally have her fill of egg hunts by the time this weekend is over.

Cary is enjoying his new adventure working with our neighbor. I think this is really going to be a good thing. They really seem to be getting along well so far. Looks like this will be a rewarding collaboration for the both of them.
